Free guided tours are available at 9, 10, 11 and 12. The folks at the capitol, also known as ‘The State House,’ suggest you call ahead to verify tour availability during your visit.
Visitors may take self-guided tours during open hours.
The building is closed weekends and all state holidays.

What a grand building! It was very easy to get to as well. The entire state of Maine is beautiful.
Great exhibit in the basement of moose, bears and other animals found in Maine. Also don’t miss the view from the upstairs porch.
